Light the Stars illuminates the threshold where breezy childhood friendships must weather the stormy seas of adult life.

Told over the course of a single night, the film centres Taylor and Alex as they reunite with their high school friends - and each other - at their annual summer campout.  Finding themselves alone on the beach, they confront the gulf between them and the possibility that some friendships, like stars, burn brightest just before they fade away.

Torn between hanging on and letting go, Taylor and Alex discover that adulthood carries the freedom and burden of choice, but also the freedom from having to choose between the unknown and the unknowable. Free to choose simply to marvel of the unfolding, made real if only by their presence to it.

At turns delicate and raw, Light the Stars offers a poignant and nuanced glipse into an intimate moment between two friends deeply bonded yet still drifting, unable to gage the distance between them and unsure as to how to bridge the gap.
